Greetings from Hilton Head!
Let’s talk…GOLF! Ok, if you know me, then you know I do not actually play golf, though I have tried on the shoes before. I am thinking about taking it up, but it may have to wait until my next life.
For my present life, I am content to mostly watch – my favorite venue being the RBC Heritage, right here in my own backyard. Now I have only ever attended two professional tournaments ever – the Heritage and the Masters. Are there two better? I don’t think so and actually the pros agree. Read here the PGA player’s list and their favorite courses. Augusta is #1 and Harbour Town is #2. Obviously I have excellent taste in golf courses.
Another accolade – the editors of GolfCourseHomeNetwork track all the prominent “best” lists in golf to come up with the Best of the Best Golf Community Rankings in the United States. Sea Pines is #3 for 2012 (See the full list here).
Now I might beg to differ and call Sea Pines #1, but I am a bit biased. I do know that every community on any “best” list around the world owes an enormous debt to Charles Fraser and his vision of a planned residential resort community with home built surrounding golf courses — such a far-fetched idea in the 1950′s, but such a big part of our life today.
